SGS Performance Mark: Dermatologically Tested for Wearable Devices

Wearable technology has been a growing trend in recent years. It has hit the mass market in a diverse form - from smartwatches, fitness tracker to smart glasses and hearables. However, the materials used, and skin tolerance, whether it’s skin irritation or skin sensitization, has been a huge concern.  In order for enterprises to differentiate their products and stand out from other similar products on the market and build consumer’s trust and confidence, SGS is pleased to introduce the SGS Performance Mark - Dermatologically Tested for Wearable Devices (see Figure 1). The Performance Mark can be affixed on the product with a unique QR code that allows users direct access to the product’s assessment details.

The SGS Performance Mark is a quality mark one can trust. It allows enterprises to demonstrate commitment to product safety and performance and assure product’s efficiency to consumers. With independent testing and validation through SGS, a product can be demonstrated to have met, or exceeded, key purchasing criteria and hence giving consumers reassurance and peace of mind during their purchase.
