Note:
  1. Test total Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD) content.
  2. The substance is calculated by the test results of organostannic (TBT, DOT, MOT) or elements such as Arsenic, Lead, Cobalt, Barium, Nickel, Cr (VI), Cadmium, Boron, Sulfur or Phosphorus respectively.
  3. The concentration of this mixture is determined by specific target substance contained within then calculated with formula then converted the data into actual test result.
  4. Only anhydrous form of disodium tetraborate is relevant and considered according to ECHA explanation (Ref no.: INC 000000032519).
  5. TGIC is a mixture and also contains β-TGIC. According to the ECHA’s technical dossier the ratio of β-TGIC to TGIC is around 1 to 10. Therefore β-TGIC is issued based on the above-mentioned ratio.
  6. The item can’t be analysed directly. Besides it doesn’t have a fixed molecular weight, therefore the concentration can’t calculated based on a specific element.
    Current SGS”solution for the item is to detect the specific organic compound “4-heptylphenol”.
    When the test result is positive, the test result of controlled SVHC will be indicated by a Note.
    SGS reserves the right to modify the test method of the item in the future.
  7. Since lead has a wide application, it is unlikely to determine if the detected lead comes from the lead ion, lead element or/ and lead compounds.
    Therefore the detected total lead is used on behalf of lead.
  8. The compound (CAS No. 255881-94-8) is qualitatively screened first. When there is a signal of the compound, additional 3 working days are required for testing the specific elements of S and P to calculate the concentration of the compound.
