數位簽章（又稱公鑰數位簽章、電子簽章）。數位簽章不是指將簽名掃描成數位圖像，更不是落款。數位簽章使用公鑰加密的技術，來驗證數位資訊。例如文件、電子郵件訊息和巨集。數位簽章有：

• 驗證性(Verification)：數位簽章有助於確保簽署者即為簽署者本人。
• 完整性(Integrity)：數位簽章有助於確保內容在數位簽署之後，沒有經過變更或遭到竄改。
• 不可否認性(Non-repudiation)：數位簽章有助於向各方證明所簽署內容的來源。換句話說某⼀資料的作者無法否認資料是由他所作。

加數位簽章的用意是在於保護該份文件，使用者拿到此文件時可即時辨識是否由SGS TW所發行，以防止報告被偽造。

自2008年起送樣檢測的報告(例如：CE/2008/XXXXX)及2008年起發行的加發報告，均會加入數位簽章在報告PDF檔中。

數位簽章有效期。但在效期內加簽的文件亦可被鑑別。由於資訊科技日新月異及為避免 SGS TW 數位簽章遭有心人士破解，SGS TW 也將更新數位簽章內容，以防止報告被偽造。 SGS TW 曾使用過由VeriSign 所核發的數位簽章（2007/08/22, 2009/08/20, 2011/08/18 及 2017/07/20）與DigiCert 所核發的數位簽章(2020/08/17 及2022/06/22)。目前使用的版本為 DigiCert 於2023/06/19 所核發。

Digital signature（also called public key digital signature、electronic signature）. Digital signature is neither to scan the signature into digital image nor to inscribe the signature in the report. Digital signature utilizes public key encryption to verify digital information such as documents、emails and macro. Digital signature has：

• Verification：helps to verify the subscriber oneself.
• Integrity：helps to confirm that no changes or falsifications made to the content after signature attached.
• Non-repudiation：helps to prove the source of content.

Please refer to "Validate Signature_E.pdf". Since 2008, this file will be attached with electro report files to clients for reference.

The purpose of digital signature is to protect the report. Users can immediately identify whether or not SGS TW issues the document to prevent falsified reports.

Digital signature will be added to all PDF files on testing reports issued since 2008 (for example: CE/2008/XXXXX) and extra copy of reports issued since 2008.

Rapid advancement of information technology elevates the risk of cracking of digital signatures. In order to protect our client's interests, SGS TW will renew digital signatures on a timely basis to avoid forgery. We used to have four digital signatures (2007/08/22, 2009/08/20, 2011/0818 and 2017/07/20) issued by VeriSign and DigiCert (2020/08/17) under the title of SGS TW. The most up to date is issued by DigiCert on Jun 19, 2023.
