What is EPEAT?

“EPEAT” stands for Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool, a global rating system for the environmental attributes of electronic products.

EPEAT was launched by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and is currently managed by the non-profit organization Green Electronics Council (GEC). EPEAT is a user-friendly tool that helps consumers, manufacturers, and retailers evaluate, compare, and select electronic products based on environmental attributes, while also helping manufacturers enhance market recognition and facilitate the adoption of green electronic products.

Besides the United States, other countries also require EPEAT, and the Taiwan Environmental Label application process can be simplified through the EPEAT product login page.
